In fact, New York is second only to Massachusetts when it comes to the average cost of regulated child care in the U.S. Parents want the best early care and learning program for their children but also have to consider child care costs when making their decisions. New York State has developed myBenefits, a screening tool to help New York residents find out if they are eligible for a variety of health and human services programs. The site offers assistance with applications and other information including tax credits.
