Dear Colleagues:

Grammy Award-winning musician, entertainer, singer-songwriter and storyteller TOM CHAPIN is coming to Westchester County on April 17! He will be performing a family concert to benefit the Council and its vital programming. We hope you will support the event by buying tickets/sponsorships and sharing the information with your families. You can find out more about the exciting concert by CLICKING HERE.

This spring is chock full of educational opportunities including a series of business webinars with Tom Copeland for family and group family providers and our Annual Consortium Day on May 6, which will feature Susan Linn, EdD, a national expert and author who will speak on “The Case for Make Believe: Saving Play in a Commercialized World.” Of course, you can review our spring training calendar for other upcoming training opportunities and special events.

This e-newsletter also features important information on the Born Learning Initiative, QUALITYstarsNY Field Test, and free KidSmart Training. Be sure to click on the links on the left to learn more about these projects.

Of course, don’t forget that our web site continues to be an important source of information for parents, professionals and employers in Westchester County. On our website, providers will find information on everything from Medication Regulations and “Quality Initiatives” to “Research and Best Practices,” as well as information on how to renew your Council membership and how to nominate someone for a 2010 JOEY AWARD.

We hope you enjoy our winter edition of our e-newsletter.

See you at the Tom Chapin concert!

Sincerely,

Kathleen Halas
