Council’s Facilitated Enrollment Project Helps Families Obtain Health Insurance at No or Low Cost

The Council offers a variety of FREE services to families, including assistance in applying for public health insurance. We have a Facilitated Enroller who is available to assist families in completing their applications. The Facilitated Enrollment Project is sponsored through the Westchester County Department of Health.

There are various options for Westchester County residents to ensure the availability of health insurance:

Child Health Plus is a free or low cost publicly funded health insurance program that provides comprehensive health coverage for most children regardless of income or immigration status. Children must be under the age of 19 and a New York State resident.

Family Health Plus is a publicly funded health insurance program that provides free comprehensive health coverage for adults with limited incomes. A person must be a New York State resident between the ages of 19 and 64 without health insurance, a US citizen, or fall under one of many immigration categories and be income eligible.

Medicaid is a publicly funded health insurance program that provides comprehensive health coverage for children and adults with limited income.
